Question for Photography paper?
I need to discuss the merits of a picture by Ansel Adams. I'm using this picture:

What kind of things should I say in my paper? Any ideas would be so helpful 
You could say that Ansel Adams was a member of the Sierra Club since he was 17, showed his love for this kind of images. You might say he's an environmentalist, evident for the love of the sierra - his famous photographs that he is equated (can't find the synonym for that word, right now) to. He shows how minuscule we are compared to their grandeur.
The one you picked is one of the most photographed trees in the world because of its dramatic form. In 1867, Carleton Watkins photographed it and among others to its demised in 2003. The tree (Jeffrey Pine) in that picture has endured and shaped by the weathering wind, rain, and snow. It shows the dramatic composition in which the foreground and background are contributing elements that enhance the form of the tree.
Ansel is know for the capturing picture of nature and landscaped on how it was shaped naturally. He shows it by using light and shadows to fully illustrates them. Like the Jeffrey Pine atop the Sentinel dome, you can say, you can really see the curves on pictures he took (great example is his photo SAND) .
