City Kart Racing

Qualifying round for MitsulancerPh

10 members from our club joined the qualifying round to compete for the Grand Metro Kart Fest championship to be held on May 31, 2008 @ City Kart Racing in Paranaque, Philippines. Luckily I finished 3rd on the race and got the 2nd spot in the qualifying with the best time of 54.288, with just a .071 sec. difference from the 3rd spot.

It was just my first time to race in City Kart. The karts are very nice to drive and quite responsive both on braking and accelerating compared to kart track in boomland. The track layout was really challenging because of the sharp curves and long straights (the skyway). The only thing that really disappointed me was the surface of the indoor track. It was really slippery becuase of the smooth concrete surface, I had a hard time getting a grip which really challenged me.

All in all my 1st time experience at city kart is fun fun fun. Thanks to Richard (Sard of MLPH) and to Mlph peeps who supported this event. Looking forward to racing with you guys more.
