Claude Monet is a famous French impressionist artist (free 3d models) who left a crucial mark on the French and international art world which remains strong even today. This article tackles Monet the man, and uncovers some of his most famous paintings.
Monet produced several key series of paintings both in his native France and also abroad in UK, where he is well known for a series of works of landscapes along the London Thames riverside, and also some in Italy.
There was a further Rouen Cathedral series in France which showed off his love of architecture in his paintings, but he remains best known for his use of nature and colour together (Free 3d models). These are demonstrated in his Water Lilies, Poplars and Haystacks series. Monet had an incredible skill for capturing light at different times of the day and used his specially created garden in France to show this off to the full. Indeed, the Japanese bridge which arched over the Lilies also has become famous now.
Monet's garden was in Giverny where he spent much of the latter part of his life fine-tuning the extraordinary skills that he had developed throughout his life. It is now available for and thoroughly worth a visit (Free 3d models).
Even after all the afore mentioned Monet paintings, it is another that is believed to have left the most important mark on the world of art, though, and that is his Impression, Sunrise. The impressionist movement, of which Monet was a key member, was actually named after this very painting. Monet's use of colour and emotion in his paintings helped to push art forward towards the contemporary styles that we have today, and for many he is the greatest artist of all time.
