Drunk Monkey can be a title that I came up with for my artwork studio that is skilled in a selection of distinct mediums. The Idea to title my studio "Drunk Monkey" Came to me a long time ago. I initial considered the name when I saw a documentary about monkeys ingesting fermented fruit back inside the late 80's or early 90's. It was the funniest thing. The monkeys would swing from the limbs and miss, then yell like they were having a laugh hysterically. They would ultimately pass out. When they woke up they would moan and groan and had some really poor hangovers. I believed it was hilarious to look at drunk monkeys and thought it would be a good title for a band or some thing like that.
I began utilizing the title Drunk Monkey Studio soon after I did a exhibit and started finding mail addressed to raku fired ceramics and made the decision I must establish a title for my business. I commenced accomplishing the monkey paintings right after I did a exhibit in Virginia Beach June 2004. I had painted a real fast sign with a chimp sipping a bottle of Abita Beer.
