Purchased this back in nov. 2009, used it by March 2010 here in Florida and like one reviewer stated, the vacuum feat. is not up to par as the blower but does minor jobs fairly well. This is a great buy, I am currently looking forward to upgrading to gas powered.

Everything works as posted. The blowing function works flawlessly. Vacuum mulching was amazing. The metal impeller ground up anything the toro could suck up. The only negative is the mulching bag is a little awkward. Overall i'm glad i didn't waste my money on an expensinve gas model.

Great Vac. Engineered for the homeowner.
This is a very good vac & blower. It's easy to switch from vac to blow. The handle is fascinating because they engineered it perfectly for both uses. I'm over 70 yr old and as long as I remember to use it the way they say in the instructions, then it is easy to use and not tiring to hold. I've used it as a vac most of the time because I have Magnolia Tree leaves which are very big and fall all year round. When I use it as a vac I have to go over almost my whole lawn to get up all the leaves so I can mow it. It is not tiring to use even with the bag. The metal impeller works great chopping up the leaves into fine pieces that I use as mulch.
The blower is very powerful.
I highly recommend this.

Great and Light Weight
Bought this over a year ago. Used about 4 times. It's lightweight and easy to use (I'm female). I use it to clean the garage to blow out the dirt and leaves. It's loud but I don't use it too long. Good at moving the leaves in the yard. Gets the job done quickly. I like that it runs on electricity and not fuel. It was Highly recommended by Consumers Report which is why I bought it.

Toro Lawn Blower/Vac Meets my Needs
This spring I used my Toro Lawn Vac to vacuum and mulch a seemingly endless number of oak leaves from our lawn in South Texas. I would have paid more than the cost of the vac to hire a yardman once, and no one wants to deal only with the leaves. I am a short 64-year old, but I can handle the vac easily, and the shredded leaves were great as mulch for my garden.

Great tool for any mower of lawns!
The Toro Blower/Vacuum has been a much needed tool in our yard maintenance. It is now easy to blow away excess grass clippings, leaving a clean driveway and sidewalk. This tool is light weight and easy to carry around the yard with an extension cord. Electric is the way to go! It's nice not to worry about the gas for it. We have yet to use the vacuum feature but are excited for that when the fall season comes upon us. Thank you Toro for another fine product.

I've owned a Toro (Blower/Vacuum) before and got many years of reliable use out of it. I love the ease of bag removal and a zipper that lasts for years without breaking. It's nice to see a well designed product that performs. I live on a corner property with many trees and the Toro has given me years of extended service. That is why I purchased another Toro (Blower/Vacuum).

Finally got a good price for this Toro 51599. It is a replacement and/or backup for my Toro 51598, which has been an excellent "worker" over the past few years.
Figured I'd buy this newer version to keep in reserve. Although it's red, not black like 51598, the 51599 sounds just as powerful as the original.
I'm hoping it'll give me the same service as my first Toro. The metal impeller does help reduce potential damage to the unit and the high speed blower is impressive.

Great Product!
Really like this-have just used it as a blower, which is why I primarily bought it. I get the job done in half the time it took with the old one. Great product, and I highly recommend it. I don't think it is too heavy, as some of the other reviewers noted. I'm 5'4 and 130 pds, and a 62 yr. old women, so consider that when your purchasing one. I also like the variable speeds. Its just real easy to handle and gets the job done. What more could you want?
