How to Create Art Portraits Using Watercolors

Creating art portraits or painting using watercolors is a much demanding art these days. Such paintings are mostly taught to the learners in the institutions. It is a very tough task and every artist to should learn to do it. As Water Color leaves an artist at a high risk of not rectifying any error, much attention is needed to learn it. One should consider these factors before starting a watercolor portrait:
A portrait artist should be well prepared and well determined in advance about the colors that he has to use for painting. He should even know about the tone and contrast of colors like how much he needs to put in his painting. One should keep in mind that watercolor does not leave you with an option of repainting. So, a portrait artist should be well focused on his work.
Besides deciding about the colors and tonal or contrast value, art portraits requires you to know the several techniques of making your painting effective. Likewise strokes used for hair, lighting effect on the painting and many others.
How to begin with creating Art Portrait
Portrait artists generally portray the eyes of the person whom they are portraying. Eyes are the most important factor that gives life to the portraits. Thus an artist should take extra care while portraying the eyes and coloring it. It is compulsory to match the eyes with the face of the person to give the portraits a real appearance. Giving perfect colors to the eyes holds equal importance. It is always good to start coloring the eyes from the corner and giving accurate gap between the eyes and bridge of the nose.
Face is another vital aspect in portraying. A photograph of the person being portrayed can be helpful for an artist to get familiar with the facial features of the concerned person.
